Abstract

Why is there something rather than nothing is a vexed question. Can we make sense of the world around us in its entirety is a question after that.  Science has moved away from the why and ought questions to the how questions i.e. to understand the process.  Can the process of understanding how help us answer the why questions? Non-academically in the quest of the author to make meaning of everything around him and academically for his thesis work, he stumbled upon this magnificent work by the American biophysicist who was the Robinson Professor of Biology and Natural Philosophy at George Mason University. Here, the author urges the readers to join him in this quest and to know his understanding of the book: The Emergence of Everything – How the World Became Complex.
