Focus and Scope of the Journal

The Journal of Public Policy, Governance and Law (JPPGL) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research that advances knowledge in political science, governance, constitution, public administration, law and related interdisciplinary fields. The journal serves as a platform for researchers, academicians, policymakers, practitioners, and professionals to disseminate original research, innovative methodologies, and evidence-based solutions addressing political, constitutional and administrative issues.

Journal of Public Policy, Governance and Law (JPPGL) welcomes contributions that promote effective governance, evidence-based policymaking, institutional development, democratic accountability, legal reform, social justice, human rights, and public-sector innovation. The journal encourages interdisciplinary research that bridges law, political science, public administration,  governance studies, and policy research to foster a comprehensive understanding of institutions, legal systems, public policies, and their impact on society.

Particular encouragement is given to comparative and evidence-based research that examines contemporary governance challenges, evaluates public policies, analyses legal and institutional frameworks, and contributes to informed policymaking, effective administration, social justice, and the strengthening of democratic and accountable institutions.

Types of Manuscripts

The Journal of Public Policy, Governance and Law welcomes original and unpublished scholarly work in the following categories:

All submitted manuscripts must present original work, demonstrate academic rigour, and fall within the scope of the journal.

Manuscript Formatting Requirements

Authors are requested to prepare their manuscripts according to the following specifications:

  • Language: English

  • Font: Times New Roman

  • Font Size: 11 pt

  • Line Spacing: 1.5

  • Paper Size: A4

  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides

  • Page Numbers: Bottom centre

  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

References must be prepared according to the latest edition of the APA Style.

Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and cited appropriately within the text.

Cover Letter

Every submission must be accompanied by a Cover Letter containing:

  • Title of the manuscript

  • Type of manuscript

  • Statement confirming originality

  • Statement confirming that the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere

  • Declaration that all authors have approved the submission

  • Conflict of Interest Statement

  • Funding information (if applicable)

  • Corresponding author's full contact details

Submission Process

Authors may submit their manuscripts through the journal's Online Submission System (Open Journal Systems – OJS).

The editorial process includes:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening

  2. Plagiarism Screening

  3. Double-Blind Peer Review

  4. Editorial Decision

  5. Author Revision (if required)

  6. Acceptance

  7. Copyediting and Production

  8. Publication
